Lenny
Sponsor this Horse Adopt this Horse
Lenny needs a pasture and a buddy (4 and 2 legged)!
Lenny was owned by a family who thought it was okay to let baby Lenny grow up in a dog pen!
He lived there until he was 18 months old. He is about 20 months now. He never got to run
and buck and play. This confinement also stunted Lenny's growth. He is not going to be
over 14 hands. He is a gaited tri-colored gelding. What Lenny needs right now is
a green pasture where he can run and play for the next year or two.
He can grow into himself and is ready for some ground training. He loves people and
attention. Contact horseinc@aol.com

| Deja Vu
Sponsor this Horse Adopt this Horse
Deja Vu is an incredibly sweet little Appaloosa pony mare.
She is about 24 years old. She is loving and sweet, can be ridden and lead around with a
child on her back. She has very respectful ground manners, loves attention and carrots.
Deja is such an EZ keeper that she needs a dirt lot without much grass so her
diet can be controlled or her feet got sore. She doesn't wear shoes so an
occasional trimming keeps her feet healthy. She just needs a loving family who
loves horses and do ask too much of a horse. She is healthy and deserves a good home.
She will delight you with her kindness. Only kindhearted horse lovers apply.

Tommy is a 6 year old Buckskin. He was an orphan foal we saved from death 6 years ago. He was adopted to a loving home but with a full time job,
the adopted had no time for Tommy anymore so he is now available for a new home again.
He has been ridden about 10 times and loves it. He's had a lot of ground work,
is very willing and sweet.

| Gypsy
Sponsored by: Brian, Laurie and LilyRose Cleland of Alpharetta, GA Adopt this Horse
Gypsy is a 22 year old Leopard Appaloosa mare. She was thin and in need of regular care when she came to us with two other Appaloosas. The family fell on hard financial times and lost their farm. Gypsy has been very easy to handle and ride. We haven't asked her to do much but she responds well. She has an old injury on one eye but it doesn't make her shy on that side. Her vision may be slightly limited but she is a confident mare. She is groomed by adults and children. She loves water and is happy in or outside.
Come and meet Gypsy. She will be a great trail buddy to a lucky adopter.

Black Beauty
Sponsored by Stephanie Abualia of Atlanta, GA Adopt this Horse
Do you recognize this horse? She is a 15-/+ racking or walking horse. She may have gone through the sale at Hwy 20 in Cumming late in 2008. She is black, one white spot on her face and missing her right eye. How did she get in this condition? Where has she been in the past few months? She was found and brought here by a caring horse owner. She needs good nutrition on a regular basis. Come and visit this sweet horse and make a difference in her life and yours. This Black Beauty is living at the rescue farm until we can find her a permanent loving home.
You can see she is very underweight. She has many cuts and abrasions on her body. She is still trusting and sweet. She will go from this ugly duckling look to a lovely Black Beauty in a few months with love and care. Watch her progress.
UPDATE: December 2009. Look at her now!

| Miss Trigger
Sponsored by Caroline Creagh of Johns Creek, GA Adopt this Horse
Miss Trigger is a very lovely Palomino mare. She is about 4 years old. She was bred at a young age and her foal died. The owner wanted her as a brood mare. Since the foal died, he decided she had no value to him and gave him to a lady who cared about Ms Trigger's future safely. She asked us to find her a home. When we picked her up, she was frightened out of her skin by any sudden movement. She is now enjoying being groomed and loved on by volunteers at the rescue farm. She needs ground work to learn to become a riding partner. Most of all she needs someone with patience and love.

Snickers
Sponsored by: Sarah Stockhausen of Glen Burnie, MD Adopt this Horse
Snickers is a pony gelding. Animal Control tried very hard with every trick they new to catch Snickers but to no avail. This pony had been tricked before and he was well aware of all the tricks and he was unsure what could happen to him if he was caught. Had someone mistreated him? Hurt him badly? Fear ran deep in his heart. Animal Control finally resorted to using a dart gun. A moving, 'running for his life', target is hard to get a good aim on but they managed to dart him. The hit was a little to high then they planned but the pony stopped in his tracks. An officer put a halter on him and he easily walked into a horse trailer. When he was secured in a small stall, a veterinarian came to look at him and make sure the dart hadn't hurt any internal organs. The good news is he is physically fine but mentally very, very afraid of humans. He will need a home with an abundance of patience! Would you like to meet this Snickers? He needs a quiet loving home.

Marybeth
Sponsored by: Maureen McCarthy of Cumming, GA
Adopt this Horse
Written by her sponsor: Marybeth is a 13 yr old, chestnut TB, 15.2H.
You can see by her pictures that she is gorgeous & everyone who sees her just admires her.
She has the longest, thickest tail that all us horse people love. Her defining
character is that she is “absolutely the sweetest horse” who just wants to be your friend.
She is not an alpha mare & not mareish at all. She began her career on the racetrack,
then went on to steeplechase. She is a great granddaughter of Secretariat (1973 Triple
Crown winner), and looks just like him, but in a smaller package. Before coming here,
we think she was used as a hunter/jumper. She loves all treats -- carrots, watermelon
rinds, etc., has excellent ground manners, will come to you when called in the pasture,
and loves to be groomed and handled.
For the past 5 months, I have built a trusting relationship through natural horsemanship
techniques – she’s so willing & happy to do the work. We’ve been working on natural
riding with her being “long and low” to stretch & strengthen her muscles. She would be a
great fit for someone experienced with horses & looking for a forever friend.
Building a trusting relationship with her is the key, but once she bonds with you,
she’ll follow you anywhere (well, maybe except when she’s munching on grass!).
She could do more natural horsemanship, English pleasure riding, trails, or lower level
dressage. She’s up to date on shots, dentist, regular farrier trimming (her feet are in
great shape), and on TC complete feed (she has a glowing coat). She’s ready for her
forever home!

Solo
Solo is loved by his owner but due to health problems which is causing her financial problems, Solo
must find a good home ASAP.
His registered name is Skip's Mytee Solo. He is a very handsome 17-year-old Appaloosa gelding, 15.3
hands, approx 1100 pounds. He has high end ring bone in his front right leg so he is not rideable. I think
a young child could be walked on him in a pasture but that is his limit for now.
Otherwise he is in excellent condition. Solo falls in love with mares but can be a companion to a
gelding as well. He has a cribbing collar if needed but he is not a compulsive cribber.
Solo is sweet and loving, with lots of personality and will make a wonderful friend to the right
person. He loves to be brushed, petted and given treats! He's been treated like an only child for many years and would love a best human friend to smile and enjoy life with him.
