The expenses for this rescue are all covered through generous donations and the farm is run by caring volunteers who share their time with these animals. The needs as you can imagine are ongoing, with the expense of food, veterinarian, farrier, hay, etc. These horses go through a tremendous amount of hay each year!
The support you lend to this rescue is not counted in dollars and cents but in the "spirit of caring and making a difference." However, your donation of dollars makes sense, and is what allows this organization to continue to lend a caring hand and patient heart to suffering animals. This rescue takes in horses from Georgia, Alabama, and Florida. Many of these horses are rescued literally before slaughter.

Donate & Join the Herd with a one time or recurring tax deductible donation to secure the future of rescued animals.
Save the Horses does not receive any government funding to operate our 110 acre farm that is home to 130 horses and other animals. We rely on raising money via fundraising events, grants and donations from generous people to pay for feed, hay and much needed medical expenses for our rescued animals.
We have no employees so revenue from donations goes straight to the care of the animals and activities to keep them safe. You can also make a donation as a birthday gift (an e-card will be sent to them)
or make a donation in memory or honor of someone special. |

The average horse costs $400 a month, just to cover the basics (outside of the cost of medical care.)
